These SMS terms explain the text message program of Tech Improvement Inc. (Techimprovement), which sends one-time verification codes for your Techimprovement account. Read them before you turn on text message codes. Last updated: October 28, 2026.
About the SMS terms program
These terms apply to the Techimprovement sign-in codes program, the text message program of Tech Improvement Inc. ("Techimprovement", "we", "us" or "our"), Philadelphia, Pennsylvania 19125, United States. The company runs the website and online store at techimprovement.net and sends the messages. These SMS terms are part of our Terms and Conditions.
What we send
We send one-time verification codes by text message for your Techimprovement account:
- A sign-in code, if you turned on text message codes for your sign-in.
- A code to confirm your mobile number when you turn on text message codes or change the number in your sign-in security settings.
A message looks like this: "482913 is your Techimprovement verification code. It expires in 10 minutes. Reply STOP to opt out, HELP for help." We do not send marketing or promotional messages in this program.
How to opt in
Text message codes are optional. You opt in by entering your mobile phone number and ticking the consent box. The box is never ticked in advance. You can opt in from two places:
- In My Account, under Two-Factor Authentication, select Text message (SMS). We then send a code to confirm the number.
- Optionally, in the "Sign-in protection (optional)" section of the Create an Account page. We send nothing until you confirm the number with a code in your account.
You must be the account holder or an authorized user of the mobile number. Consent is not a condition of purchase. You can create an account, sign in and buy without text messages, for example with an authenticator app.
The consent box asks for your mobile phone number with the country code. It then states that you agree to receive one-time verification codes by text message from Techimprovement at that number, sent when you sign in or change your sign-in security settings. The box also notes that message frequency varies, that message and data rates may apply, and that you can reply STOP to opt out or HELP for help.
Message frequency and costs
Message frequency varies with your sign-ins. We send one message each time you sign in with a text message code, ask for a new code, or confirm a mobile number for your sign-in security. We do not send messages on a schedule.
Message and data rates may apply, depending on your mobile plan. We do not charge for these messages.
How to opt out
- Reply STOP to any of our messages. You receive one message confirming that you have opted out, and no further messages from this program.
- Or turn off text messages at any time in My Account, under Two-Factor Authentication.
After you opt out, sign in with your authenticator app or a backup code. To receive codes by text message again, reply START to our number. If you turned off text messages in your account, turn them on again there.
Help and support
Reply HELP to any of our messages for help, or email info@techimprovement.net. You can also reach us through our contact page.
Carriers and delivery
Supported carriers may change. Carriers are not liable for delayed or undelivered messages. If a code does not arrive, ask for a new code, or use your authenticator app or a backup code.
Privacy
Our Privacy Policy explains how we handle your information, including your mobile number and the record of your consent. We do not sell, rent or share your mobile number or your text message consent with third parties or affiliates for their marketing or promotional purposes. We share your mobile number only with the SMS provider that delivers the codes on our behalf (Twilio), and only for that purpose.
Changes to these terms
We may update these terms. We will post the new version on this page and update the "Last updated" date.
