Details
The Magento 2 mini cart extension turns the standard Luma mini cart into a side drawer that slides in from the right, similar to the Hyvä theme drawer. It shows a header with the item count, a scrolling product list, the subtotal and checkout buttons at the bottom, plus an overlay, keyboard focus handling and a full-width layout on phones.
It can open automatically after Add to Cart, once per added product, and close itself after a configurable delay. Cart Content Rules display product attribute values, CMS blocks and WYSIWYG or Page Builder text under the products in the mini cart and on the cart page, driven by the same conditions you already use for cart price rules.

Requirements
- Magento 2.4.7, 2.4.8 or 2.4.9 package line in CE, EE or ECE
- PHP 8.2, 8.3, 8.4 or 8.5 as supported by the chosen Magento release
- Luma or a Luma-based storefront theme; Hyvä themes are not supported
- Page Builder optional for rule text content

Installation
- Download the module archive for your edition and version from your customer account.
- Add the package to your Magento project with Composer.
- Run bin/magento setup:upgrade and bin/magento setup:di:compile.
- Run bin/magento setup:static-content:deploy for every active frontend theme.
- Clear the Magento cache and verify the drawer opens on the storefront.
- Create Cart Content Rules in the admin to show attributes, CMS blocks or text.
Updates and support
Updates are delivered as new download versions in your customer account, with version 1.0.0 and 1.0.1 available today. Install a newer version by replacing the package through Composer and running the standard Magento setup commands.
Frequently asked questions
Does the Magento 2 mini cart work with Hyvä themes?
No. The extension is built for Luma and Luma-based themes. Hyvä themes have their own drawer and are not supported.
Which Magento versions are supported?
The 2.4.7, 2.4.8 and 2.4.9 package lines on Adobe Commerce cloud, Adobe Commerce on-prem and Magento Open Source, with PHP 8.2, 8.3, 8.4 or 8.5 as supported by the chosen release.
How is the extension installed?

- Adds a mini cart side drawer like the Hyvä theme's, for Luma and Luma child themes. It shows the number of items, a close button, scrolling products, the subtotal and buttons at the bottom.
- The drawer has an overlay, closes with Escape, keeps keyboard focus inside, stops page scrolling while open, uses the full width on phones and slides in and out (not when reduced motion is set). Magento's own mini cart widgets and templates stay in charge.
- The mini cart opens after Add to Cart, once per added product, both with AJAX and on the next page after a form submit. It does not open on the cart and checkout pages.
- You can enable automatic closing after a number of seconds. Shoppers who use the drawer are not closed automatically.
- Adds Cart Content Rules (Stores › Mini Cart › Cart Content Rules). Show product attribute values, a CMS block or a text (Page Builder or WYSIWYG, with {{qty}} and {{attribute_code}} placeholders) under the products in the mini cart and/or on the cart page, each with its position and display.
- Cart Content Rules can be limited by cart conditions and product conditions of the cart price rules, store views, customer groups, dates and priority, with the Discard Subsequent Rules option.
